Yesterday our SEO team headed over to Aston University to guest speak at SMEGlobalTech 2014. The event had a great turnout with around 30 businesses turning up for the day.
SME Global Tech is a one day event for small to medium enterprises looking to improve their social media presence and increase their UK and international growth.
The day started off with a talk from Doug Lawrence discussing International Web Optimisation and after a very filling lunch it was HeadRed’s time to shine.
First up was Raksha discussing defining goals and audience analysis for social media marketing followed by a task to help the companies conduct audience research. Izzy then went onto discuss social media strategy. She covered the importance of branding and social media guidelines, as well as discussing strategies for each social media platform.
After a short break it was time for the two Hannah’s to present to the businesses. Hannah spoke about the importance of a content strategy, content sharing times and engaging with fans. Last but by no means least the other Hannah was up discussing why companies should use social media tools and what type of tools are out there.
We got some great feedback from the attendees too (Thanks Dan!):
