HeadRed was originally established as a website and graphic design agency in 1999 by founding members and current directors, Liam McGurk and Phil Smith. The agency operated out of offices in Coventry city centre and within the first 2 years of trade the agency grew to a team of 4, with Liam and Phil heading the design side of the business and two full-time developers working on new site builds.
During the next 2 years HeadRed moved to premises in Coventry University’s Technology Park and partnered with local hosting company, Netplan Internet Solutions. This new arrangement allowed us to offer a more integrated service to clients looking for online assistance. Netplan have remained our long-serving sister company to the present day.
In the last 6 years the company has grown to a twelve-strong team consisting of designers, developers and client service professionals. Most recently, in October of 2007, HeadRed moved from its long-term address at the Technology Park to newly bought premises on the Middlemarch Business Estate. Our unit accommodates work space for both HeadRed and Netplan, with substantial room for future growth in the years to come.
In 2009 HeadRed celebrated its 10th year of trading. The past decade has been a fantastic journey for us – one filled with excitement, amazing new projects and many wonderful (and often very amusing) experiences. Here's to the next ten years!
