New DTI legislationBlogged by Jim

Important news regarding company information displayed on websites has been brought to our attention by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The legislation, which is outlined in the following document, relates specifically to information that must be included on your website.
From January 2007, the Companies Act 1985 requires the following information to appear legibly on your site:
- The company name
- The company’s place of registration and the number with which it is registered
- The address of its registered office
- In the case of an investment company, the fact that it is such a company
- In the case of a limited company exempt from the obligation to use the word “limited” as part of its name, the fact that it is a limited company.
HeadRed has actively advised all of our clients to the above requirements and work is currently underway to ensure full compliance is achieved. However, for anyone who is still unsure please feel free to contact us and we would be glad to help.
