Phil-ipe Massa takes the HeadRed cup

Yes, that’s right folks. The chequered flag has been waved and the champagne thoroughly sprayed and at the end of it all it was Phil who stands as newly crowned champion of the HeadRed Grand Prix.

Granted, there were 40 other Chamber-based competitors taking part, but for us the only result that mattered was who finished top of the HeadRed pile and ensured bragging rights in the office for many weeks to come.

Besides, I have my suspicions over the eventual winner of the event as a whole. Anyone who brings their own helmet and gloves to what is largely an amateur race surely has to be put forward to the FIA for further investigation.

As it was, Phil actually finished 6th overall in a pool of over 50 drivers. Despite his valiant efforts in the final race he found it hard going from the back of the grid and had to settle with an honorable mention but no podium finish.

But what of the other HeadRed racers? Let’s have a look at the leaderboard:

  1. Phil
  2. Richard
  3. Danny
  4. James
  5. Chris
  6. Liam
  7. Bev
  8. Carl

So despite not owning a legitimate driving license James still managed to finish higher than four of us! It was very tight down the bottom with Liam, Carl and myself all separated by hundredths of seconds. Thankfully though the good Lord spared me further embarrassment as I banished the Clay Pigeon stigma with a stoic, if unspectacular, 7th place.

Hard luck Carl, but I’m afraid the dunces cap now passes to you. Make sure you keep it warm for me, because no doubt I’ll be claiming it back at the next event!

HeadRed support LEGI programme

HeadRed have recently pledged their support to the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative in Coventry, or LEGI for short.

The programme’s primary objective is to stimulate economic growth and income levels in Coventry and help to transform the city into a place of enterprise.

Companies that are eligible for support from LEGI can access a series of integrated, high quality, services that will help them with any new or existing business.

HeadRed have been approved for LEGI’s specialist service provider roster and as a result we will be taking an active role in supporting local businesses with their online presence.

New DTI legislation

Important news regarding company information displayed on websites has been brought to our attention by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The legislation, which is outlined in the following document, relates specifically to information that must be included on your website.

From January 2007, the Companies Act 1985 requires the following information to appear legibly on your site:

  • The company name
  • The company’s place of registration and the number with which it is registered
  • The address of its registered office
  • In the case of an investment company, the fact that it is such a company
  • In the case of a limited company exempt from the obligation to use the word “limited” as part of its name, the fact that it is a limited company.

HeadRed has actively advised all of our clients to the above requirements and work is currently underway to ensure full compliance is achieved. However, for anyone who is still unsure please feel free to contact us and we would be glad to help.
