HeadRed commissioned to build new website for RAATE

The Recent Advances in Assistive Technology and Engineering, or RAATE for short, is a UK conference focused on the latest innovations and developments in assistive technology.

RAATE 2008 was organised and hosted by the Health Design and Technology Institute (HDTI), whom HeadRed designed their website for last year.

The website for RAATE needs to paint a professional picture of the conference to potential delegates in order to encourage registrations, and it is felt that the current site could be greatly improved in these areas. The HDTI have therefore commissioned HeadRed to oversee a complete overhaul of the website in preparation for next year’s event at the Coventry Hilton.

Whilst the RAATE site is redeveloped a temporary holding page will be placed on the HDTI website containing details of where and when next year’s conference is to be held.

The new site for RAATE 2009 is expected to be launched in Quarter 1 next year.

Two new contracts signed, sealed and delivered

Here at HeadRed we’re doing our best to fight the credit crunch and our recent efforts have been rewarded with the commissioning of two new lucrative contracts.

The Northamptonshire Complementary Education Learning Platform is a new project devised by the Education Sector of Northamptonshire County Council. Its aim is to provide better communication between young people, teaching staff, parents and the wider community using the Internet.

The learning platform, which comprises a new website and intranet, will enable staff and young people to collaborate in shared areas, communicate their ideas and store their own materials in personal “e-portfolios”.

Ward & Rider are a highly regarded law firm in Coventry. For over 50 years they’ve supplied their customers with quality legal services across a wide range of disciplines.

We’ve recently been contracted with revamping Ward & Rider’s corporate branding, providing them with a new website as well as a whole range of printed materials. They have also signed up to one of our tailored SEO contracts to ensure their new site remains successful long into the future.

Both of these new projects illustrate perfectly how working in the online industry can bring you together with a diverse range of different organisations. We don’t work to any industry or market boundaries.

Our solutions are available, usable and effective to all companies, whether public or private sector.

More on the way from QIA

Back in June HeadRed were commissioned by the Quality Improvement Agency (QIA) to redevelop their staff intranet. Now, following the success of its redevelopment, the QIA have come back to us and requested we tackle their public-facing corporate website.

Both the design and the usability of the site, which can be found at http://www.qia.org.uk/, is felt to be in need of a significant refresh. HeadRed’s approach will focus strongly on both accessibility and usability, ensuring the end solution works effectively for the QIA and all their various stakeholders.

The new site is expected to be launched this Winter.
