Palletline select HeadRed as their technology partner

Following an involved pitch process pallet distribution heavyweight, Palletline, have commissioned HeadRed as their new technology partner.
Hands were shaken on the prestigious contract earlier this year and work will begin immediately on transforming Palletline’s online presence and realising the vast potential the web can offer their business.
The unique nature of the Palletline member network provides the company with significant synergistic benefits and added value for their customers. The new website for Palletline, scheduled to be delivered in Q1 2009, will make full use of these benefits and will be seen as the benchmark against which all other pallet networks measure themselves.
In addition we will be providing ongoing support, consultancy and online marketing for Palletline in the form of email newsletters, search engine optimisation (SEO) and pay-per-click advertising (PPC).
If Palletline wish to be seen as the market leader in the pallet distribution industry it is imperative that they be seen to use the most up-to-date technologies. HeadRed will work alongside Palletline to recommend, implement and measure the introduction of such technologies across their website, internal systems and social networks.
Palletline General Manager, Nikki Dawson, was excited about the coming together and optimistic that the relationship will bring about a significant improvement in the company’s online business:
“HeadRed is the true technology partner we have been looking for. They have already successfully integrated into the Palletline team and are making a significant contribution to our ongoing web strategy.
Working with HeadRed will enable us to create an industry leading website which will add deliver tangible benefits within a short space of time.”

HeadRed commissioned to revamp Godiva Festival website

CV One has recently commissioned HeadRed to revamp their website for the Godiva Festival – the biggest free family festival in Coventry!
For what is an incredibly vibrant and exciting festival, their existing website does not paint a particularly good picture. Our task is to transform the site into an engaging, innovative and visually striking portal for both the festival and the local community.
A key part of the redevelopment will be the effective use of web 2.0 technologies in order to create and retain an active online community. The new site will feature a Godiva Blog, a user forum, a photo-sharing image gallery, podcasts, video and more.
When it is launched the site will be able to rub shoulders with the top dogs of the UK festival scene and be a benchmark website that all will aspire to.
The festival itself attracts over 75,000 visitors each year and has featured heavyweight bands including The Enemy, Kasabian and The Fratellis. If you’d be interested in becoming a sponsor for the event then please contact Dave Wright at CV One for further information.

Looking fine in 2009

It might be three months late, but the HeadRed team are making a concerted effort to look fine in 2009 with a new local gym membership. With the summer holidays fast approaching the lads are keen to strut their new, buff image on the beaches of the Copa Cobana and Bondi alike.
Liam has already donned his swimming cozzy and taken to the pool, whilst Rich has sampled the full force of the weight room in his new, early morning fitness regime.
I’m sure the rest of the lads will soon follow their lead, but with what must already rank as a physique comparable to Arnie in his prime I rather suspect all that needless exercise will have little effect on me.
Besides, I’m allergic to hard work. I have a note from my Mum.

Google Street faces closure

Only a week after the UK version of Google’s Street View was launched there are now calls to close the service down from disgruntled members of the public.
In news released today a formal complaint regarding Street View has been sent to the Information Commissioner (ICO), which cites more than 200 reports of persons identifiable via the service.
After its much-vaunted release last week the street-mapping facility has come under heavy criticism from Privacy International. Indeed, it has been forced to pull a raft of images after receiving complaints from the public.
In the days that followed its launch the furore over the new system failed to dissipate and this formal lobby marks a major stumbling block in what has been a multi-million dollar project for Google.
The official line from Google’s spokespeople is that anybody who is unhappy with their data being captured can “opt out” from the system, although they are refusing calls to pull the system altogether.
Expect this one to rumble on for some time, but in the privacy vs technology debate the outcome of this case could prove a defining moment moving forward.
