Spectacular, Spectacular!

Moulin Rouge, that beacon of Parisian indulgence in the 19th century. Frequented by tourists the world over and the regular subject of interpretation by artists, writers and film makers to the present day.

And now, it’s HeadRed’s turn.

Our brief was to design a glossy, 12 page theatre brochure in the style of the revered venue that would act as the official invite for a highly prestigious event.

The brochure places HeadRed in the esteemed company of Toulouse Lautrec, Pierre La Mure and Baz Luhrmann, as creative visionaries who have attempted to capture the mystique and charm of the “Red Windmill”.

Wickes and Volvo join the HeadRed revolution

In the last couple of weeks HeadRed have secured lucrative contracts for national brand giants Wickes and Volvo.

For Wickes we will be providing them with a new e-commerce driven website for their conservatory arm. Having developed similar sites for BVC and Palladium in the past we possess significant experience in this area and are delighted to be adding Wickes to our client portfolio.

Volvo Construction Equipment Ltd is the distribution organisation in Great Britain for the full range of Volvo Construction products. Our brief is to build a new online shop to sell their merchandise, which will work alongside the existing site for Volvo CE UK.

As soon as the new sites are up and running we’ll let you know.

New addition to the HeadRed family

Today we welcome Simon Gray as our new junior ASP developer. He joins Carl Ellis to form the “2 heads” behind the ASP programming team.

Here at HeadRed we operate what we like to call our “2 heads” production process, where all designers and developers work in teams of two to allow for pooling of knowledge and collective problem solving. By working in a team we ensure no project is completed in isolation.

Simon and Carl will work together to ensure a streamlined and efficient ASP service to our clients.

Sheer exhibitionism

The Herbert is part of the Arts and Heritage Service of Coventry City Council and is currently going through a major redevelopment.

The recently launched website for the Herbert’s “Virtual Gallery” forms a significant part of this redevelopment. The site, which was designed and developed by HeadRed, allows everyday users with the facility to create and manage their own virtual gallery space.

The site is yet another example of our work with recognisable corner-stones of the Coventry community and further demonstrates our commitment to the local area and its various reputed institutions.

Visit the website, or read the case study.

Good things come in small packages

This year HeadRed will be taking part in the Coventry Telegraph Business Awards 2008 under the category of “Small Business of the Year”. The award will go to the business that has increased its profitability and potential over the last financial year.

Over the last 12 months HeadRed has seen outstanding growth, not just in terms of financial returns, but also with our tangible assets. We’ve moved into spacious new premises, taken on several new members of staff and have consequently improved the level of service we can offer our clients.

The finalists for the awards will be chosen next month with the awards dinner to be held at the Ricoh Arena on the 2nd July.

Naturally, we’ll keep you posted on how we get on, but the tuxes are on standby!
