More on the way from QIA
Back in June HeadRed were commissioned by the Quality Improvement Agency (QIA) to redevelop their staff intranet. Now, following the success of its redevelopment, the QIA have come back to us and requested we tackle their public-facing corporate website.
Both the design and the usability of the site, which can be found at http://www.qia.org.uk/, is felt to be in need of a significant refresh. HeadRed’s approach will focus strongly on both accessibility and usability, ensuring the end solution works effectively for the QIA and all their various stakeholders.
The new site is expected to be launched this Winter.

Happy Halloween everyone!
Here at HeadRed we like to think we’re a creative bunch. After all, design and innovation forms a large part of our core offering. Well what better way to test our artistic flair and steady hand than with a spot of pumpkin carving!
So, with safety scalpel in hand and a trustworthy adult watching over us, we set about making our own HeadRed jack-o-lanterns. Unfortunately, the development team was too busy programming to take part, but Liam, James and I competed for the prize of best pumpkin 2007.
Full marks go to Liam for his sterling effort, with James picking up the wooden spoon for his stoic, if unspectacular, effort. Don’t give up the day job James!

A Ray of sunshine for Belt:Me
Back in July we reported a new addition to the HeadRed family; SEO guru James Ray. His appointment brought a wealth of knowledge in the fields of online marketing and search engine placement.
Well, it seems it hasn’t taken long for him to weave his magic. He oversaw a comprehensive SEO audit of the Belt:Me site in August and the results speak for themselves:
- • “Custom Studded Belt” – 1st in Google*
- • “Design a Studded Belt” – 1st in Google*
- • “Personalised Studded Belt” – 1st in Google*
*as of October 1st.
James has also implemented a new optimised pay-per-click (PPC) campaign for Belt:Me and this, in combination with a much improved organic placement, has seen their online sales revenue increase considerably:
- • July – £15,721
- • Aug – £16,857
- • Sep – £20,595
So, if you’d like your company to see a similar level of success as BeltMe then please get in touch for an initial consultation. We’d be glad to help and are confident that you will see significant returns on your investment in a very short space of time.

Belt:Me hits the airwaves
The accolades just keep coming for Belt:Me. Not content with their “site of the week” award, nor their recent feature in the glossy girls magazine “More”, Belt:Me has taken to the airwaves.
If you tuned into Kerrang! Radio last week you might of heard our fearless leader, ‘Belt-man’ Liam, on the breakfast show with Tim Shaw and Kate Lawler.
Belt:Me was featured as part of their “Steve the Egg” campaign and we kindly donated 20 Steve the Egg belts to Kerrang! for their competition. So if you were lucky enough to win one of our belts, congratulations, and if not then you can always just buy one like everyone else!

HeadRed FC on the up!
As reported last month HeadRed have recently become sponsors of Coventry based Under 11 team, PSA Peugeot Citroen.
Well, we’re delighted to say that results have picked up. Thanks to 5-2 and 8-0 wins against Pro Santos and Bedworth Eagles respectively the team has climbed to 7th place in the league with 10 points from 9 games played. For the full league table, see here.
However, the lads still sit 10 points adrift of the elusive 2nd promotion slot so it’s very much a case of staying confident and keeping the momentum going. Hopefully before long the leaders will be looking worryingly over their shoulders as the HeadRed machine comes steaming into view!
We’ll let you know how they get on next month.
